Reporting to the Business Manager, the Customer Service Assistant is responsible for welcoming people to the Faculty of Business and providing information about programs and services. Customer service responsibilities includes fielding questions and enquires from the public, prospective students, applicants, current students, faculty and support staff regarding all facets of the Faculty of Business both in person and by telephone. The incumbent is required to provide accurate, timely, information in accordance with applicable guidelines, policies and procedures.

The incumbent will assist with a variety of administrative functions to ensure the effective and functional day-to-day operations of the office. This will include operating and maintaining standard office equipment (photocopiers, printers, shredder scanner etc.), unpacking, storing and replenishing office supplies, distributing mail, creating gift bags etc.

The incumbent will support two office areas at North campus. However, the Customer Service Assistant may also be required to work at Lakeshore campus on an as needed basis.
The successful candidate will possess a 2 year Diploma in Business or Office Administration along with a minimum of 2 years practical work experience, preferably in a busy post-secondary customer service environment. The incumbent will have excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, listening and customer relations skill with the ability to relate professional and respectfully to a wide cross section of people representing diverse backgrounds.

Work Schedule: Monday till Wednesday 8am - 5pm

The Selling Associate drives sales growth by flexing into multiple areas of the store including selling, cashiering, processing, replenishing, setting floorsets and/or cleaning. Serving the customer is always top priority regardless of work area. Key Responsibilities:

When assigned to the sales floor:
  • Drives store sales and growth by personally selling to customers

  • Replenishes merchandise to brand standards to ensure product is placed on the sales floor and available for purchase
  • Assists with other projects as needed including markdowns, re-tickets and the mark out of stock process
  • When assigned to floorset activity:
  • Executes floorset proficiently
  • Understands and adheres to brand standards
  • Assists with maintenance of back room and under stock, including merchandise and non-merchandise, to brand standards to enable efficient replenishment
