THE ROLE:

  • Select product accurately in all climates (dry, coolers, and freezers)
  • Assembles and selects cases from pick slots for store orders daily in an accurate, efficient, productive manner and assembles order onto plastic or wood pallets
  • Performs visual and operational vehicle safety inspections and reports any unsafe vehicles to a shift supervisor or maintenance personnel
  • Responsible for ensuring that all cases and pallets are properly identified with the correct store number
  • Secures selected cases and conducts final pallet preparations by wrapping selected loads and applying shipping labels
  • Skill in operating warehouse equipment: i.e.; Pallet Jacks (double and triple), and/or Reach Trucks
  • Complies with Section 28 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Must demonstrate adherence to all HACCP and Food Handling practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a high school diploma, or be working towards one
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Positive attitude, team player with track record in customer service excellence
  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs repetitively
  • Must have a flexible schedule: Monday through Sunday with the possibility of working statutory holidays

Administrative Support Assistant - Part Time

Reporting to the Deputy Fire Chief, the part-time Administrative Support Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administrative activities for the divisions within Fire Services. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who proactively reviews the needs of the division on a daily basis, is flexible, organized, and able to work independently in a fast paced environment.

The Administrative Support Assistant will work 24 hours per week (Monday to Friday), may have the ability to work up to 35 hours per week when filling in for vacations or other leaves of absences.

Responsibilities:

  • Shares front counter duties and provides excellent customer service on a daily basis via phone, email, web, or in-person.
  • Processes correspondence, reports, documents, and distributes mail within the department.
  • Ensures all paper and electronic files are maintained in good order and logged in the appropriate systems.
  • Obtains quotes and prepares appropriate purchasing documentation for the department.
  • Monitors, order, distributes and maintains fire prevention literature, Standards, Public Education materials and manuals.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ progressive experience in an office environment performing administrative duties.

Responsibilities and Expectations

Following all procedures for the shipping and receiving department
Informing production supervisor of any quality issues

Do the function of the Shipper/Receiver as required
Keep your work area clean, secure, and follow GMPs; work in a safe and healthy environment

Have experience working with COUNTERBALANCE Qualified Forklift/Counter Balance Operator MUST HAVE Valid Forklift License
