Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Survey Party Chief, the Survey Assistant will aid in the support of activities for the location, design and construction of various engineering projects. You will assist in preparing a variety of topographic, geodetic, control, quantity, legal, hydrographic, preliminary construction layout, and as-constructed surveys. You will assist the Survey Party Chief in operating and maintaining various survey instruments and tools.

Qualifications: You have a minimum of two years of proven related survey experience, preferably in a municipal setting together with a two year post-secondary Civil Engineering Technician Diploma. You must possess a strong knowledge of various standards and procedures including the Survey Act, Surveyors Code of Ethics, Occupational Health & Safety Act the Ontario Traffic Control Manual, and the Municipal Standards and Design Manual. Your computer skills must be current and include knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Eagle Point. You must be a member of or be eligible for membership with OACETT. Batch Testing:
